Executive Education course "Small and Medium Enterprises: from insurance intermediary to risk consultant" kicks off

22.07.2025
Press releases

The new edition of the Executive Education course "Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: from Insurance Broker to Risk Advisor" by Cetif - Università Cattolica, implemented in collaboration with Chubb and under the patronage of ACB, AIBA, ANRA and Bene Assicurazioni, is now underway.

Milan, July 22, 2025 - Kicking off Sept. 26, 2025, is the second edition of the course, for an insurance training proposal that is increasingly appropriate and in line with the changing environment.

The Small and Medium Enterprises: from Insurance Broker to Risk Consultant training course is divided into 194 hours between in-person classes in Milan and online; it is aimed at both recent graduates and insurance brokers , junior risk managers and industry professionals who wish to acquire an evolved, risk-based consultancy approach, which is increasingly in demand among Italian SMEs.

The goal? To train a new figure of an insurance intermediary, capable of identifying, assessing and managing business risks-both traditional and emerging-and proposing insurance solutions that truly adhere to the needs of businesses.

The up-to-date and practical teaching is developed around topics of Risk Assessment, Risk Management and the solutions offered by the insurance market, enhancing direct testimonies, practical exercises and the comparison between participants, to strengthen the insurance culture and the ability to support SMEs in an ever-changing risk environment.

"In a context of growing uncertainties, in which many Italian SMEs are still without insurance coverage," says Chiara Frigerio, professor of Business Organization, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Cetif general secretary, "it is essential to strengthen the culture of risk.

Intermediaries can play a crucial role by taking a consultative approach and offering innovative solutions to provide SMEs with more effective and tailored protections. This course provides intermediaries with the skills needed to become all-round risk advisors, thus helping to close the protection gap and strengthen business resilience."

"Today, SMEs can be complex realities," says Orazio Rossi, Chubb's country president in Italy. The market needs competent and specialized business-focused intermediaries.

This course aims to empower intermediaries to better support their corporate clients by embarking on a new and qualifying career path to better help protect both companies and their stakeholders."

Classes will be held from September 26, 2025, to July 17, 2026, alternating between in-person classes at theCattolica Università Milan and online (Friday full-time and Saturday part-time). Registration is open until September 14, 2025.
