Mission and Goals
The platform enables insurance companies to more efficiently manage the assisted negotiation process in the event of a claim from their customers through a blind auction guaranteed by Blockchain/DLT.
The use case was developed through the Insurance Blockchain/DLT design approach Sandbox.
Axa, Cargeas, Cattolica Assicurazioni, Helvetia, Generali, Reale Group, Sara and Zurich participated in the initiative promoted by Ania, Cetif Advisory and Reply, with the collaboration of IVASS.
All players played an active role during all the different phases of the initiative: from the concept design of the platform to the testing of the platform with real cases of auto claims litigation over the three-month period.
The use case involved the implementation of a Blockchain/DLT based platform that enables the matching of bilateral offers submitted "in a sealed envelope" by insurance companies and clients. Clear rules, guaranteed by Blockchain/DLT within the platform enable more efficient and transparent management of assisted negotiation.
