Beyond the A4 paradigm

The universe of contracts nowadays is moving in one direction, the one in which financial institutions convey contracts to their customers without ascertaining the actual accessibility of the same. The new paradigm of OpA4, is a unique opportunity, which will bring a competitive advantage for "first movers" in expanding their offerings by changing the way they interact with customers, with the possibility, in addition, to reach new segments and extend their customer base.

 

The OpA4 Ecosystem Project - Beyond the A4 Paradigm, starting in June 2023, was created in the wake of Legislative Decree No. 82 of May 27, 2022, which obliges companies to provide instructions, towards the customer, no longer only in text format, but also in a multimedia format.

The project-related activities are structured in two parts: Impact Study and Ecosystem Experimentation. The Impact Study was an opportunity to bring some of the country's leading companies to the table and engage with them on the initiative's pivotal themes and identify which ones may be of most interest, so that they can be studied and analyzed more specifically during the Ecosystem Experimentation.

 

The Kick-Off meeting of the project will be held in the first week of June. The meeting will be an opportunity to provide more information regarding the scope of the initiative, illustrate the first deep dives related to the solution, show how the work will be set up, and communicate how to participate in the Ecosystem Experimentation.

Mission and Goals

The mission of the ecosystem project OpA4 - Beyond the A4 paradigm is to enable greater accessibility of contractual content.

The ecosystem project OpA4 - Beyond the A4 paradigm, aims to:

  • Simplify and transform contracts from a paper or digital A4 format into a multimedia, video and/or audio format that allows for greater comprehensibility by customers;
  • Analyze and summarize the contents of existing contracts by making use of commercially available AI tools;
  • Acquire documents and/or metadata necessary for the finalization of the contract (identity documents, land registry views, tax documents, certificates of various kinds...) via the wallet managed by the client.
