Digital disruption has radically transformed customers' expectations, making them more attracted to services characterized by simplicity and speed of use. Currently in the insurance industry, there is a certain mismatch between the digital strategies of the Companies and the needs of the customer. Companies have begun to bridge this gap by investing in IoT technologies capable of collecting information and, by feeding big data, knowing more about their policyholders and responding to their needs in a timely manner. Despite this, further efforts are needed to take full advantage of new touch points, for example, by shifting moments of interaction to digital channels such as mobile. Will companies be able to bridge the gap between expectations and supply? What role will big players and new entrants play in the market?
