Presentation of the workshop

The changing operating environment of intermediaries has changed the framework of bank management responsibilities. Particular attention must be paid to managing the adherence of the intermediary's behavior to the rules arising from internal and external laws and regulations. Thus, the role of the Compliance function in governing risks arising from the non-application of such regulatory dictates is strengthened. In this scenario, the criticality and complexity of the system of internal controls and risk management increase. The objective of workshop is to address some of the issues related to the new system of internal controls increasingly characterized by the interaction of different processes ranging from the monitoring of risk exposure to its verification and control procedures. The meeting aims to develop the issues concerning the evolving approaches to the system of controls and the role of risk management and compliance in business management through the experiences of the banking and insurance worlds
