The difference between an advanced analytic and an 'AI is the ability to learn that the AI has and that an advanced analytic does not. As you can imagine, the learning mechanism of a human being is very different from that of a machine and is not even well understood yet. With respect to the machine, however, we can make use of techniques to control and improve its performance and make it operate at its best. In parallel, we must also ask ourselves where AI can make the best contribution, currently and prospectively, and under what conditions, and where, on the other hand, it is neither convenient nor appropriate to employ it.
