The advent and evolution of artificial intelligence, coupled with the proliferation of information and the different formats it can take, has led to an evolution of data governance and processing needs. The extension to so-called unstructured data-that is, data that do not refer to a predefined pattern or organized structure, making it difficult or impossible to analyze with traditional tools-has become a requirement that calls for reflection on the data governance and data quality processes currently in place at banks and insurance companies. Indeed, these types of data contain information that is often relevant and subject to the same management, processing and protection measures as structured data.
