The course aims to explore IFRS 17 accounting standards on insurance contracts in depth. In particular, it will illustrate the valuation approaches for insurance liabilities, comparing them with the Solvency II valuation criteria, the structure of the insurance income statement, the new KPI 17 KPI , and the IFRS reporting required by the Italian regulator. The course is designed to be practical, with numerous numerical examples, exercises, and the reading and analysis of the IFRS financial statements of several Italian and European insurance groups.
